Getting Your Application Right

1. Read this section carefully before you begin.
2. Complete all relevant sections of the form. Use CAPITAL LETTERS where necessary.
3. You can save your progress and continue later. Click the ‘Save & Continue Later’ button, copy the provided link, and use it to resume your application at a later time.
4. The form consists of four sections:
  - Section A – Details of the person filling out the form
  - Section B – School or Team Details
  - Section C – Participant Details
  - Section D – The Challenge Stage
5. Each team must include a coach and a minimum of two (2) and a maximum of three (3) students.
6. Once you submit the form, you can only remove a participant. You will not be able to add or substitute any participant after submission.
7. Section D must include the following three areas: Please read the full instruction guide before uploading your project design.
  - Robot Design or Concept Overview
  - Robot Components
  - Programming Language or Tools Used

The application deadline is now May 31st 2025. Applications submitted after this date will be considered invalid.

What happens after we receive your application?

After the submission deadline, all pitches will be assessed and reviewed by an experienced
and distinguished panel of experts
.
From the submissions, 10 teams from each region and 10 teams from Lagos will be selected
based on key criteria such as creativity, complexity, entertainment value, and task completion
.
The 10 selected semi-finalists will be contacted and interviewed based on their submitted projects.
They may also be required to re-present their pitch one-on-one online.
On or before June 17th—one month before the grand finale—the 10 finalists who will compete in
the final round will be announced.

By submitting your application for the Robotics and AI Competition, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Eligibility
Participants in the competition must be between the ages of 11 and 18 at the time of registration. You confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria as specified.

2. Accuracy of Information
All decisions regarding your participation in the competition will be made in good faith based on the information you provide in your application. If it is found that any information provided in your application is false, incomplete, or misleading, Robotics and AI League reserves the right to withdraw or amend your participation in the competition. In certain cases, you may be required to withdraw from the competition if you have already started.

3. Data Protection and Privacy
In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the information provided in your application will be used for processing your registration for the competition. If your application is successful, the information may be retained as part of your participant record.
The data will also be used for feedback, research, and analysis to improve the competition experience and for strategic planning. All data will be anonymized and not used to personally identify any participant unless you are admitted into the competition.
By submitting your application, you acknowledge that you are giving your consent for the use of this data as described above.

4. Liability Waiver
Assumption of Risk: By participating in the Robotics and AI competition, you acknowledge that there are risks involved, including but not limited to, physical injury, damage to property, or technical issues. You agree to assume all risks associated with your participation.
Release of Liability: You, and your legal guardian (if applicable), agree to release and hold harmless Robotics and AI League, its staff, affiliates, partners, and sponsors from any and all liability, claims, damages, or injuries arising from your participation in the competition. This includes, but is not limited to, accidents, equipment failure, or any unforeseen circumstances.

Health and Safety: You confirm that you are in good health and physically able to participate in the competition. If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must provide consent for your participation and acknowledge the potential risks involved.

5. Photography and Promotional Use
By participating in the competition, you grant Robotics and AI League permission to use photographs, videos, or other media captured during the event for promotional, marketing, or educational purposes. This includes photos taken at any of the competition events or related activities. You understand that these images may be published online or used in other marketing materials.

6. Compliance with Rules and Regulations
You agree to follow all rules and regulations of the Robotics and AI competition. Failure to adhere to these rules may result in disqualification from the competition. Robotics and AI League reserves the right to modify or update the rules at any time, and you will be notified of any changes.

7. Agreement Confirmation
By submitting your application, you confirm that the information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You also confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions of participation in the Robotics and AI competition.
